Monthly Boat Share Fee

What does my Monthly Boat Share Fee Cover?

Owning a boat outright is expensive.

First you have to find the right boat for you , then you also have to organise  berthing,/mooring, registration and boat insurance, Plus annual engine maintenance and cleaning costs –

And that’s not to mention fixing any repairs or damage that happen from time to time.

That’s why for many people boat share is such a good option.

When starting JO Boating, we wanted to give people the opportunity to enjoy the lifestyle that comes with owning a boat, without all the extra responsibilities and time consuming work involved.

By entering into a boat share program, owners can experience the fun and rewarding side of boating, and for a set monthly fee, we take care of the rest. This hassle free boating lifestyle is why people choose boat syndication.

Monthly fee means less on-going costs

With boat share, all costs are divided equally between syndicate holders meaning you are only paying a fraction of the on-going costs including maintenance, insurance etc. By this method, we believe that vessels are often maintained to a higher standard than boats with a single owner. Upgrades and replacements are much more affordable when you share the cost.

Not to mention, it means that people who may be time poor and don’t have the capacity to maintain a boat, don’t have to. We take care of it for you. All you need to do is turn up on the days you’ve requested the boat and together with your family and friends head out on the water to enjoy yourself.

What’s actually included

Your boat syndicate monthly fee covers all aspects of the cleaning, maintenance and servicing of your vessel.

Berthing

Trying to find an available berth for sale or rent in Sydney Harbour can often be just as difficult as trying to buy a boat on your own. When you buy a share in a JO Boating vessel, we will keep your boat in a secure berth at a designated marina, saving you the hassle of finding one yourself.

Boat insurance

We know accidents happen. That’s why having boat insurance is such an important part of owning a boat. Enjoy your time on your boat with the knowledge that if anything happens, you are covered.

Engine service

Regularly servicing your vessel is necessary in ensuring its longevity. As part of your monthly service fee, we will organise for your boat to be serviced as per the manufacturer’s recommended service schedule.

Preparation of boat prior to departure

We know that many of our syndicate owners don’t have large amounts of spare time. So when you take your boat out you don’t want to be wasting time. We ensure your vessel is completely prepared before your departure, ready for you to just step on.

Cleaning after return

After spending a great day/ weekend entertaining on your boat the last thing you will want to do is spend the afternoon cleaning. As part of your monthly fee, we organise for your vessel to be cleaned after every use.

Deep cleans

As salt water can cause boats to rust, it is important that your vessel gets regular deep cleans throughout. As part of our service we make sure this happens.

Maintenance and upkeep of the boat

We know wear and tear is an inevitable part of owning any boat. That’s why we like to make sure your vessel has regular maintenance checks and proactive maintenance  work. Not only will this keep your boat looking fresh for the time you own it, it will also help retain its re-sale value.

Safety gear maintenance

Your safety is our number one priority. Our team will ensure your life jackets and all other safety gear are regularly checked and meet Australian Maritime requirements .

24×7 support

We want to make sure you always have peace of mind while operating your vessel. As part of your monthly ownership fee, our team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are always there to help you with anything you may need relating to your boat.
